If you're focusing on short to medium digital runs, then you might want to take a look at investing in an offset press with LED-UV technology.
Doug May discovered he can run jobs of 1,000 or less on a RMGT LED-UV offset press and break even with digital. These short run offset jobs also had the same speed to market as digital, and Doug found the quality of offset is outstanding when compared to digital.
LED-UV drying technology does not require powder so if you have to print variable data after the fact you can do so effectively and efficiently.
